Vegetarians

Here I am, poking fun at vegetarians.
Don't get me wrong, I love them. Heck, I used to be vegetarian, I just couldn't stand not eating fish and beef.

Anyway, this was inspired by a lunch conversation with my friend Mieke:

Mieke: Jess, shame on you for eating meat. SHAME.

Me: But I like meat.

Mieke: You're eating animals who were brutally slaughtered.

Me: Well, what about the salad you have?

Meike: What about it?

Me: Brutally slaughtered veggies.

Mieke: Vegetables don't have conscious thought. They can't feel pain.

Me: Nonsense. They scream when you pull them out of the ground.


That's the conversation word for word, more or less.
